CASA MIYAMA is located in a village in Miyama, Kyoto. Mountains surround our village and a transparent river runs through it. At night, only a myriad of breathtaking stars and the moon shed lights on our village.

Train & Free Pick-up Service (if you were less than 4 persons)

Kyoto Station ➡︎ JR Hiyoshi Station（about 45 minutes by JR train) ➡︎ Free pick up service to Casa Miyama (30 minutes drive ) *This free pick-up service is only if you were less than 4 perosns. If you were more than 5 and would like us to pick you up, please consider our TOURS. Please take a train at 14:08 from Kyoto Station and arrive at Hiyoshi Station at 14:54. We will pick you up at at JR Hiyoshi Station at 3pm. If you want to visit Kayabuki no Sato, thatched roof village of Miyama, before your check-in, we will pick you up at Kayubuki no Sato. Please take a Nantan City Bus from Hiyoshi Station to Kayabuki no Sato. How far is Casa Miyama from Kayabuki no Sato?
We are 15-minute-drive from Kayabuki no Sato. We can pick you up before chek-in or drop you off after check-out at Kayabuki no Sato.
How far is Casa Miyama from Kyoto city center?
It is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Kyoto city center by car and 100 minutes by train and bus.
How do we move around in Miyama?
If you want to move around in Miyama, it is nice to have a car because local bus service is limited and there is no railway in Miyama.
Where is the nearest airport to Casa Miyama?
Itami Airport (Osaka International Airport) is the nearest. There are Itami Airport Bus services every 20 minutes from Itami Airport to Kyoto (50-minute-ride). Or you can rent a car at the airport. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes from Itami Airport to Casa Miyama by car.
Do we need snow tires?
Yes. It snows quite a bit in Miyama. We recommend to have snow tires from mid-December to the end of February.
